MDF fluted panels were bonded with Bronze and then aged with Florentine to create an elegant and sophisticated ambiance for the new Bavarian Bar at the Rocks. The whole bar, including the stainless steel wine glass rack, were bonded with the same metal.
Designed by Dreamtime Australia, this new bar also boasts MDF screens bonded with bronze to imitate the original bronze work on the facade of the building. With over a dozen ways to manipulate bronze, Axolotl can create textured, aged or polished bronze to suit any project specifications.

This entry blade wall at the Burbank Centre at Norwest features a durable translucent finish to the front face and a coloured application to the back face, the glass is suitable for a range of applications including external work.
The matt face of the glass is baked on and replicates sandblasting but is easy to clean and maintain.
Our New Treasury Bronze has certainly proved a hit. Specified here in a cast texture and with a pearl patina applied, the metal was specified for columns. waiter stations, credenzas and servery tables at the Wenthworth Hotel's refurbishment.
Tresury Bronze combines traditional elegance with a contemporary overhaul. The pearl patina brings out the beautiful colours of the metals and creats a strong lustre.
The screens pictured were manufactured from mild steel and coated in Axolotl Brass with both a brown and black florentine.
DesignEx was the venue to formally launch the much anticipated ‘Signature Series’ of doors.
It proved a great start to a new era and The ‘Signature Series’ was so well received it won the coveted Product Design Award for Furniture.
We were especially fortunate this year to have architect Dale Jones-Evans to design the stand. Both he and Aspa Sagiotis were tireless in their creativity and their ‘manpower’ in creating a true work of art.
Our 40 square metre ‘Lustre’ wall also proved a huge hit and was no doubt an integral part of the decision to make an Honourable Mention of Axolotl Group in the award for Best Dressed Stand.
Titled ‘Artwall No. 2’, the wall is a perfect example of what can be achieved using Lustre glass and demonstrates the flexibility of being able to create a simple or complex design using this medium. The wall was manufactured using Lustre Pearl, and was deep carved, mirrored and backlit.
Axolotl continued the tradition of creating striking glass, manufacturing the plaques for the Australian Design Awards for the seventh year running.
This year the awards were manufactured from carved and mirrored Lustre glass. They were a perfect example of how Lustre can go beyond a beautiful surface in itself and be further worked to create something truly unique.
