Axolotl Cast

Straight out of the forge comes our signature line of Axolotl Cast Metals.

Metal casting is a manufacturing process that involves pouring molten metal into a mould to create a multidimensional product. The mould contains a hollow cavity of a desired geometrical shape and the fiery molten metal is allowed to cool down to form a solidified part.

While our process does not involve heat, it perfectly emulates the truly special texture of metal when it is first cast with fire.

As if from the Forge

Axolotl Cast is the cornerstone of our applied surfaces.

While often used on its own, our Cast texture can most often be found combined with our textures and treatments to add complexity.
Cast has a uniformity that makes it very suitable for large format projects or where smooth finishes are not possible.
This gallery shows examples of Cast when used as the main surface and separately when it has been combined with a texture like Doric or Shiver.
